Is there anything more exhausting than back-to-school shopping? First there are all the clothes to buy, and matching your budget with the latest must-have fashions is never easy. With the clothes, come dress shoes, casual shoes, sports shoes, and boots… always boots. You haven’t even had a chance to look at the school supply list your child brought home; that’s another trip that will include two or three stops. And as if getting to all these stores weren’t enough of a hassle, you have to drag a mostly reluctant child with you. After all, you cannot buy shoes and clothes without having them tried on first. That part might go okay, but how many kids are really excited about purchasing notebooks, pens, and pencils? And chances are that, once you think you’re done, there is one other item that your child forgot to mention but has to have for some special class. Sigh! When you get home, kick off your shoes and enjoy the American Cobbler martini, in honor of all those shoes you just bought and the cobbler who will repair them for you.
